Daniel's 7 Weeks - The Fulfillment

Dan 9:25 (ESV)

"Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks."

 

The 7 weeks of Daniel total 49 years.  One week = 7 years.  7x7 = 49.

​

On October 13, 1968 Israeli authorities made the decision to establish "The Company for the Reconstruction and Development of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem Ltd."  Now let's look at the prophecy.

 

Dan 9:25 (ESV)

"Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks."

This means an anointed prince should arrive 49 years from the command to restore Jerusalem.  The Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem was the part that needed restoring.

​

49 years from October 13, 1968 is October 13, 2017.

​

So dates to be watching would be after October 13, 2017 - October 12, 2018.

​

The anointed leader of Daniel 9:25 should appear around this time.

mashiyach (Strong's H4899) - anointed, anointed one, Messiah

nagiyd (Strong's H5057) - leader, ruler, captain, prince

 

Who is this anointed prince?

 

He is the rider on the white horse who receives a crown (stephanos) from the Lord.  He will be under the authority of Christ to conquer in His name.  He is the end time prophet God calls "Elijah the prophet."
